Wash hands before handling products

Clean workspace

Find the packing slip

If no packing slip ask for the order invoice

Open the boxes of product

Take care not to damage products or product packaging when cutting open boxes

For example: cut only the packing tape on the sides of the box and make a small cut on the top away from the box and tear the rest of the tape by pulling the box open

Count Products and Mark Packing Slip

Go down the packing slip and count the quantity of each product sent

If the number sent is different from the slip

Circle the number and write next to it how many were received

If some were damaged in shipping

Circle the number and write next to it how many were received undamaged

Write how many were damaged next to the quantity received and put a box around that number

Repeat until all items are accounted for

Check Inventory into Square

Log in to Square > Items > Item Library

Find the product by searching

Using an existing SKU

or the Item name from the invoice / packing slip

Be careful using this method because some things have similar names or are not in square exactly as on the packing slip

Enter the quantity Received into Square

Click on the item name in Square

Click on the blue number next to "Stock"

Click on "Select Reason" next to "Stock action"

Select "Stock Received"

Next to "Add stock" Enter the number of the item we received undamaged

Click "Done" - Blue button at the bottom

Click "Save" - Blue button at the top

Print Stickers for the items

Click on the item name in Square for Item Info

Name, SKU, Price

Edit Sticker

Open DYMO Label Software

Select Correct Sticker Shape

Flat Rectangle Shape for flat packaged items

Barbel Shape for Necklace Chains and other items that don't have a tag

Copy info from Square and Paste on the sticker

Note: some of the fields are difficult to click on. You have to click to find where you can actually select the field.

Name

If the name is really long, don't use the whole name or it will be too small to read on the sticker

Price

SKU

Double click barcode

Paste SKU in "Barcode data"

Click "OK"

"Number of copies" Enter 1

Click giant blue "Print" button

Scan the sticker at the Register to make sure the correct product shows up

Check the product image as well as price

"Number of copies" Enter 1/2 the number you need

(#Received - 2) / 2

There are two stickers on each print so you only need half

We just printed two stickers so we need two less than the total
